Introducing Bella

Well, we gave in to pressure and have now become a 2 car family. Yes, we purchased a lovely 1990 Oldsmobile from a member of our stake for a great deal. We named it Belle, or Bella (for obvious reasons). So without further ado...meet Bella-

Isn't she beautiful? I know you are all green with envy. When we showed our parents, they almost died laughing. Later I will show you the flame decals (thank you Andre). I've secretly always wanted those--now we have the car to justify it!

Our other favorite part is the a/c switch. Yes, a light switch to turn on the air. (You don't even have to turn on the car to have it on. Amazing!

1st car documentary

Just 2 short years ago, Carlos and I drove home from buying our first car (thank you mom and dad!). A car, we thought, we would take such great care of--our children would drive it. It was a great car, and we loved it!!

Here is Carlos, driving it home from the dealership...


Carlos loved this car, and took excellent care of it!


We even documented it's first scratches (outside of Walmart in West Lafayette--we now park a mile away from any store, shopping cart, or other vehicle)


Our car took us on exciting adventures from one coast...


to the other. Alyse gleaned her photography skills while Carlos drove along the highway. Some pictures actually turned out...


While most (obviously) didn't!


Our car took great care of us as well. It always kept me warm, and kept both of us safe.


Alas, our car did not survive it's second serious accident when it was totaled. And so, we left it in MA--all wrapped up...(no idea why they wrapped it up!)



Our lovely graphite pearl car--we miss you. And because you were such a great car,


we were able to get a deal on another fabulous new car. Thank you insurance! (see, not all insurance salesmen are bad!)


Now all we need is a name for our new car, any ideas???
